Better Access to Mental Health Pathway
Damien is an Accredited Clinical and Mental Health Social Worker. He has been approved to provide Medicare subsidised treatment to Children, Adolescents and Adults.
Initially 6 sessions can be subsidised via Medicare rebates, with an additional 4 sessions possible with a review completed by your GP. To access this scheme please make an appointment to see you preferred GP and ask to discuss a referral to Damien at Limitless Trauma and Neurotherapy through a mental health care plan.
If you already have a mental health care plan, and you are considering changing counsellors, you don't need to access a new plan, you are able to bring your current plan across. Please note that some GP's will have Psychologists or Social Workers they may refer to as default, however, you are not required to see this person and you are allowed to indicate which Psychologist/Social Worker you would prefer. If you are considering a change, you are encouraged to go back to your GP to change the name of the person you are referred to.

Open Arms (Previously VVCS)
If you are a veteran or an active serving member, or child of a veteran, or a family member you, may be eligible to access fully subsidised counselling sessions.

National Disability Insurance Scheme
Damien is a registered provider of therapeutic services with the NDIA. Damien is registered under 'Capacity Building Daily Activities'.

Private Health Funds
If you have private health insurance you may be able to access rebates through your provider.
As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, there are some limitations in health funds providing rebates for services. However, if you are a member of Teachers Health or Uni Health, you may be eligible for rebates. Dependant upon your level of coverage.
